Prison will speak on the topic of Managing
with Respect
John developed a deep understanding both of human nature and of Irish society in his role as the most senior prison officer in Ireland. With one of the most difficult and complex jobs in management, his experiences involved trying to balance the demands and expectations of many interest groups, A vital element of his leadership philosophy is the importance of compassion and kindness in all his dealings with people.
The seminar will also officially launch Equal@Work, an initiative led by Louth County Enterprise Board to provide SME and micro-businesses across County Louth with an online guide for encouraging best practice in managing diversity as a business resource.
This seminar is run in conjunction with the Addressing Institutional Sectarianism and Racism in the Workplace project and is supported by the European Union’s Peace III Programme as awarded by Louth Peace and Reconciliation Partnership.
