Prizes in this year’s Louth Enterprise Awards, which is organised annually by Louth County Enterprise Board, were presented by Liam Woods, Chairman of Louth County Enterprise Board and Joanna Gardiner, Chairperson of the Judging Panel, in Ballymascanlon House Hotel on Friday 6th March. The winners in the seven business categories were announced and the overall prize and a cheque for €5,000 were presented to Anne Reilly of Paycheck Plus, Drogheda.
“I am delighted to be involved in this awards competition” said Joanna Gardiner, MD of Ovelle Pharmaceuticals and Chairperson of DkIT Board of Governors, “and very impressed with the high standard achieved by so many of the applicants.” Joanna also complemented Louth County Enterprise Board on the success of the Louth Enterprise Awards and also of Enterprise Week 2009, which drew to a close on Saturday 7th March. The category winners each received a cheque for €1,000 and a specially commissioned piece by Garret Mallon Jewellery Designs. The category prizes were presented to Paycheck Plus (service), Bryan Lynch Salads (manufacturing), Fitchsounds (creative enterprise), The Rug Gallery (women in business), Jevens Design (new business), Leinster Environmental (export) and Easy Dry (renewable and environmental). These companies will also receive €1,500 worth of mentoring and technology support from Louth County Enterprise Board. The competition was sponsored by Euro Environmental Services, Drogheda, Louth County Council and Enterprise Ireland.
