Provide advice and counselling to the unemployed and marginalized groups about opportunities and assistance for training. To give guidance and support in dealing with the many social and emotional problems associated with unemployment.
To promote and where possible to provide education and training opportunities for the unemployed and the underemployed by way of training and retraining courses.
To provide service representation for the unemployed in their relations with Social Welfare services, employment, health tribunals and other statutory agencies.
To promote social, economic and personal interests of the unemployed.
To assist the unemployed to maintain and establish contact with the Trade Union movement.
To work with other agencies to ensure that those who still continue to remain trapped in poverty mainly through unemployment are assisted to opportunities to address their needs.
